Flood Protection Plumbing Rebates

We understand that sometimes plumbing can seem costly but depending on where you live you could be at risk of flooding. Flooding is incredibly damaging not only to your home but also to the people living in it. Water damage left unchecked could cause the growth of mold and mildew which could make people living in your house seriously ill as well as impact the structural integrity of your home. These risks could be greatly reduced by the installation of a sump pump or backwater valve and although these upgrades might sound expensive the cost of recovering from a flood could be even greater. There is a way to lower the price on these upgrades by going through your municipality. Most offer subsidies and rebates that could reimburse you for a fair part of the costs. JLZ Plumbing has extensive experiences in assisting our clients apply for the plumbing rebates. Contact us if you have any question in the process.

Brampton Plumbing Rebates

Brampton offers a Sanitary Backwater Valve Rebate Program to eligible homeowners for $700. This helps homeowners cover the cost of installing a sanitary backwater valve to reduce basement flooding due to rainfall. • a building permit from the City of Brampton, the City of Mississauga, or the Town of Caledon
  • confirmation that the installed sanitary backwater valve adheres to the Ontario Building Code
  • confirmation that your sanitary backwater valve was inspected, and your building permit was signed by a municipal inspector
